Homebuyer Education Workshop
Our homebuyer education classes help individuals understand the home buying process and put them on the road to buying their first home. This workshop teach:
- Mortgage processes from application to closing
- Basic homeownership terms, steps and strategies
- How to care for and maintain your home
Foreclosure Prevention Counseling
When a community member can’t make his/her mortgage payments, NCD certified housing counselors can help him/her negotiate with the lender to ease the situation. NCD counselors work one-on-one with clients to develop a crisis budget and an action plan.
Documents needed to start this process:
- Last mortgage statement
- Proof of income- one month of pay stubs
- Most recent federal income tax filing
- Last two bank statements
- Hardship letter explaining your situation
- Monthly income & expenses
NCD is a HUD certified housing counseling agency, with funding through the National Foreclosure Mitigation Counseling (NFMC) program, the Arizona Department of Housing and the Attorney General’s Foreclosure Mitigation initiative.
NCD has one of the highest success rates for foreclosure prevention in Arizona and has helped more than 200 families and individuals remain in their homes.
