Financial Capability Coaching
Nogales Community Development offers financial capability coaching for both adults and young people. Everyone’s circumstances are different, and financial capability coaching focuses on the individual needs, case by case. Whether it is to start saving to buy a first home or to learn how to budget money, individuals can learn about budgeting for expenses, using bank services, investing and how to save for the future. Financial literacy training is offered at least every three months.
Through our training, participants improve their financial knowledge and learn more about:
- Bank products
Youth Financial Management
NCD offers a six-unit course that gives teens an understanding on how to manage their personal finances. The course covers goal setting, budgeting and saving money. The curriculum is nationally certified through the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) and teaches through interactive techniques. Participants learn that it is never too early to start saving money, whether it comes as a birthday gift, an allowance or an after-school job.
Youth purchase a 100 Series I Savings Bond, then enroll and attend a Financial Skills class, and we will match their $100 savings – doubling their investment to $200.
